Celine Dion bid an emotional and celebratory farewell to her legendary Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Saturday night. Joined on stage by her three sons, she marked the end of a historic 16-year run with grace, heartfelt tributes, and a night of unforgettable performances.
In a touching moment, Dion paid tribute to her late husband René Angélil, holding hands with sons René-Charles, Nelson, and Eddy while images of René filled the stage. Her performance included her biggest hits and the debut of her new song, “Flying On My Own,” from her upcoming album Courage, set to release in November.
“I’ve had many great moments in my life,” she reflected earlier this year. “Getting married to the greatest man in this world, knowing he’s in peace and he’s resting and he’s always within me. I see him every day through the eyes of my children. He gave me so much strength. I think I’m at the best of my life right now. I want to enjoy and embrace every moment of it.”
After the final curtain fell, Celine continued the celebration into the early hours at OMNIA Nightclub in Las Vegas. Wearing a stunning scarlet mini dress with a bold floral design, she danced and partied alongside DJ Tiesto. The 51-year-old singer was seen sipping Grey Goose vodka and enjoying the music until 3:30 a.m., capping off the night in spectacular style.
Her final show marks the conclusion of Celine At The Colosseum, which began in March 2011. It followed her first residency, A New Day…, which ran from March 2003 to December 2007. Combined, the two productions captivated more than 4.5 million fans with 1,141 performances, making her one of the most successful Las Vegas performers in history.
According to Billboard, A New Day… remains the most successful residency of all time, grossing over $385 million, followed by Celine At The Colosseum, which earned $245.5 million by the end of 2018.
But the story doesn’t end here. After a well-deserved summer break, Celine Dion will embark on her highly anticipated Courage World Tour, kicking off on September 18 in Quebec City, Canada. The tour will span over 50 cities across Canada and the United States, bringing her iconic voice and powerful performances to fans nationwide.
From timeless ballads to electrifying dance floors, Celine Dion proves she’s still at the top of her game — and the journey continues.
