KRIS KRISTOFFERSON ONCE LOOKED UP TO JOHNNY CASH, WILLIE NELSON AND WAYLON JENNINGS AS HIS HEROES. IN 1985, HE BECAME THE FOURTH HIGHWAYMAN. Kris had come to Nashville from the Army, worked as a janitor at Columbia Studios and struggled for years to get his songs heard.
